Biography
Bradford Smith, Performing Artist, Composer, Music Producer, Saxophone, Keyboards, Voice, Native American Flute.
Bradford is on a journey of finding and sharing his joy playing the tenor and soprano saxophone.
Combining influences of Jazz, Blues, Chill Hop and classical music to explore the inner connection.
Bradford’s music is an expression of his inner voice singing through the saxophone. Creating background tracks and solos in the stylings of Blues, Jazz and Chill Hop he finds a flow of spirit expressed in the language of music.
His musical journey began with the piano in 2nd grade and picked up the saxophone in Junior high. He studied music in college and later played in bands in his 20’s and 30’s. He found the Native American Flute and produced 5 CD’s, winning awards for his flute playing while touring the southeast performing at festivals and Powwows. Wanting to share the musical experience with the audience he started leading Kirtan’s, or call and response singing in his 40’s. Later a job and responsibilities took time leaving little time for playing the saxophone.
And now, in his sixth decade he has again found his flow of life that allows for the connection with the saxophone to sing and to be shared with the world.
